As part of the Walmanyjun Cable Beach Foreshore redevelopment, this artcourt brings colour, movement and a strong sense of place to one of Broome’s most iconic settings.

The design, led by local artist Leah Rakabundel, draws inspiration from Broome’s vibrant sunsets and the natural energy of the coast. Developed with input from local children and the community, the artwork creates a playful and welcoming space that reflects the character of Cable Beach.

Artcourts helped to bring the arwork to life across the playing surface and surrounding Surf Club
creating a cohesive visual experience. Set within the broader foreshore redevelopment, the court forms part of a destination that encourages play, connection and community use.
